Sitar Arts Center Mural Intern Artists - Claire Perry, Isis Reyes, Skylar Johnson, Donyel Marbley, Deisy Umanzor, Be'Len Rice, Natalie Alfaro, Lucy Gilmore, Geolonnie Richardson
Sitar Arts Center’s Mural Arts Program is a paid summer internship for emerging artistic talents ages 14-24. In this dynamic introduction to the creative economy, interns collaboratively create a public art piece. Past murals can be seen across DC.
In the summers of 2020 and 2021, interns created mural panels separately and safely at home, while receiving guidance from program mentors virtually. Each piece was then harmoniously brought together into a vibrant mural.
