Artist’s Description:
This scene was painted live at Palette 22 Restaurant in my Northeast Washington, DC community as part of an artist residency to connect artists, businesses, and the wider community. This piece started out as a study of the group in the upper left corner, when the restaurant was almost empty. It then filled up, changing from a quiet family brunch to a bustling downtown weekend.
