In the digital age of folks finding connection and community online, this community board in my Adam’s Morgan neighborhood is a delightful display of the intention to connect and build community with one’s neighbors.
When I walk past this sign, there is always something new: book clubs, mutual aid networks, crafting groups. For anyone willing to pause and read the flyers, there is a person or a group of people on the other side of that paper, ready to welcome that person into their space.
